Happy birthday Sayang....

You are supposed to be the happiest person on your birthday,
but things are not always like what we wanted it to be.

Im so sorry, but you have lost your favorite items.
I dont know how u dealt with the situation cos it seems like
u were not disturbed by the fact that
Someone just broke into our car and took your things !
Location : parking McD Bangsar

Please don't leave your valuables in the car.
No matter how confident you are with the surroundings.

Don't take any chances.

Partly, it was our mistake for being too careless.

To make this drama become more tragic,
The incident happened a day before his 29th bday

We were on our way for a honeymoon trip to Penang.

Being with someone so positive about life makes my mind, boggling.
His first reaction when he knew his things were gone : thanking Allah S.W.T
that I'm not the one who missing because that, he can't handle.
I can't digest this.
He reminded me that, when things like this happened.
Its important to be calm and NEVER loose faith.
Its a test from Allah SWT.

Since the bday boy didnt make such tragedy a big deal.
We proceeded with our plans for the gateaway.
Plus, we got the accomadation sponsored by the lovely Divas & Divo.

We stayed at Paradise Sandy Beach Resort.
Nice hotel with beach view.

We enjoyed our stays there although at times,
we felt a lil bit sad on what had happened.

But there's no point to dwell,
Just move on and learn the lesson.

Initially, I wanted to treat his birthday dinner at Pizzeria
But, we reached Hard Rock at 10.30pm. Pizzeria close time : 11pm.
Booowooo. I thought they open until 2.00am. HAHA

What a trip ! but we enjoyed it nevertheless.

How time flies............

He kept on complaining why our life now, suddenly become so slow.
He was comparing with the times we had during wedding preparation. -_-

We dont plan what to do on weekends, we rather just go with the flow.
What happened to our things to do AFTER we married? Have yet to discuss on that.
and our room, needs major improvement !

I felt it too.
Our life, just becoming the usual.
Given the chance to spend most of our times together....
we should make it happening and wonderful.
we should plan activities to do with ourselves, family and friends.

My mom said, it's ok...you both are still in the honeymoon phase.
She usually, not that understanding, but thanks mama ;)

Coincidentally,
Today, my division is going to have a bowling tournament.
My group name : Ada Aku Kesah? thanks to Mr. H, but NO thanks.

Wandi gonna join it. He is excited.
I was quite surprised that he wanted to join, the first time I asked. padahal ajak2 ayam jer..haha

There are so many things that I wanted to share right here.
Our things to do, that we managed to complete before the big day
n
Our Wedding !

but,
I think I`m busy.
Busy-er than before...that's for sure !

Since I was rotated to a new division, I need to catch up on lots of things.
Especially on the pending works due to the marriage leave.
I'm hooked with meetings, workshop, discussions that needed my full attention.
Next week is no different.
eh ada....wawa nak kawin !!! so im going to ganu ;)

I'm not used to this kind of schedule,
because previously, I have lots of leisure time in the office
hehe.....so I need time to adjust.

and also...I`m now a wife !
so u'll understand that after work, my time is only for him ;)

From my 2 weeks 'experience', I noticed....
Marriage life is fun, but its not all that.
It requires lots of patient, responsibility and compromising.
Just to name a few.
But I`m glad !
cos at the end of the day,
I have
someone to come home to.
someone to love
someone, who loves me too.

We watched The Secret Life of Nora !

My friends, Nadia and Hadi tagged along since they are an avid fan of theaters ;)
They said, wear something casual.

Lucky us, our seats got upgraded ;)

we got stalls tickets !

the view was splendid considering we paid for Upper Circle price...hehe
the props were mesmerizing ~
&
The show was hilarious !

We just couldn't stop laughing and clapping.
but,
If I were to watch it on my laptop, I will fast forward the "singing" scenes.
hehe.

But nevertheless.
It was really an amazing first time.

Will definitely watch theater if its a comedy and Tiara in it ;)

although my friends were quite disappointed with the ending,
but I think they did a very good job.

Tiara is so beautiful and Tony Eusoff is very handsome in real life.

Its been a long-long time ago since he used his camera.
So I decided to put it on the list,
with hope that he's going to get his modjo back !

Prior to the photoshoot,
I decided to go for Wday trial makeup with Farah from Makeup Parlour ;)
Like I did during the pre-engagement photoshoot

Since we are that bad with time management,
and
our plan went haywire last minute,
and only got 1 hour before Maghrib to photo shoot!
we managed to find a decent place and went straight to business.

Alhamdulillah. Semuanya nampak ok.
Ada jugak yang tak berapa ok....tapi...lupekan jer la..

Among items on the list, this is definitely not coming from me !

Wandi set the date, 16th September to climb Bukit Broga.
After many attempts to delay this particular tings-to-do by yours truly, failed miserably.

This place was first introduced by my future adik biras.
So this is totally her fault that I need to move my lazy ass and literally, take a hike !

Told you that the first time I went there, I failed to reach the top.
but that day, I managed to reach the first peak.
and I was started to feel shaky. I always have issues with height.

I saw 2 people slipped while going down the hill.

Need to be really careful !

Wandi did choose the right date, btw
since I can commemorate Msia day with freeing myself from my first failure to reach the peak.

What's next on the list ?

{Gasping}......

Hurm...
The progress?
so far so slow. HAHA.
In the mode of finalizing (still!)
but things are in control right now.
and we are getting broke-er each day. haha.

Well, on a happier note,
I just can't wait to share the big day with friends and family.
I prayed so that everything will 'dipermudahkan oleh-NYA'
that is my priority...

and owh....
the feeling of going to be his wife...is so surreal !
can I be a good wife to him?
can I be more patient towards his non-responsive attitude?
can I be less bossy?

I can try, but no promises ok. HAHA

but whatever it is, I will always remember,
he's still the leader of the family.
and the one that I should give the utmost respect.

As of now, I've not experienced any what-if situations or wedding jitters.
Syukur alhamdulillah sgt2....Thank you Allah for the ease of mind.

Guess what?
Wandi has just finished with the photobook for our E-day.
We've been engaged for 11 months already...but whatever.
The output was very self satisfying to us.

Review : Wedding Cards

Well, this is the output.

The problems that I have with the card :

plus the color !

it looks pinkish, real life

Our preferred color is this one.

To match our theme, Purple + grey.

But Nevertheless,

Wandi knows how annoyed I am with the borders

so he manually cut the border to perfectly fit the patterns on the card
he took 1 whole day to finish it.

such a sweetheart. ilysm.

and wallah !

To be honest, I'm not quite satisfied with the cards considering the price we paid,
mainly because of the color and the border thingy.

But,

they did help us with the background pattern (convert .jpeg to .ai)
the respond was quick and done through email only.
Friendly staffs. Plus point cos I CANNOT stand bad customer service.
We've been warned about the border thingy...but still, want to proceed. haha
no design fee, although they did the map.

So, I'm recommending this vendor :
especially if u are an illustrator+photoshop noob like us !

Bahan-bahan :

1. Kertas tisu / Crepe paper
IKEA tissue paper, kualiti bagus.
2. Gunting
3. Dawai
-nipis, size 30 memadai.
4. Inti Bunga / Flower stems

Langkah-Langkah :

*klik gambar*

1. Lipat tisu di bahagian tengah
2. Gunting tisu mengikut garisan yang dilipat.
3. Gunting setiap bahagian tisu yang terlipat dan pastikan terdapat
8 kepingan tisu segiempat tepat yang serupa
4. Setiap kepingan tisu mempunyai 3 lapisan. Leraikan setiap lapisan tersebut.
Hati-hati, tisu senang terkoyak bila semakin nipis.
5. Untuk membentuk satu bunga, 2 kepingan tisu (6 lapisan) diperlukan.

6. Lipat kertas seperti di dalam gambar
7. Potong kedua-dua bucu membentuk bulat/ round corner. Potong sedikit tisu di bahagian tengah untuk memudahkan ikatan dawai.
8. Letakkan inti bunga di tengah-tengah dan sematkan dawai seperti di dalam gamba untuk mengukuhkan inti bunga tersebut.

Selepas itu, tarik setiap lapisan tisu ke atas sehingga membentuk bunga seperti dibawah. gambar? rujuk sini

1. The venue for solemnization.
Most probably, we are going to do it in a mosque ;) I need to start surveying tudung trends now.
Still 50-50 about this.

2. Our Wday card.
Too many challenges ! we are obviously incompetent with AI format ~ haha. but what matters is the journey. still hoping that the printing shop will accept our design, or else...I will just choose any of their template. Time is running out syg...

3. Money.
This one, needs no elaboration ! But still, we are thankful for the Rezeki given to us. Alhamdulillah.

4. Time.
We got 5 things left in our 10tings to do...and yet we have too many appointments to finalize things.

2 months left.
and I still have contemplations.
and I have not started finalizing major things.
Panic now !

Wedding updates

Its been a while since I've posted things regarded wedding right?
Alhamdulillah, things according to plan....or so I thought? ngeeee ;)

Update on the important things,
Alhamdulillah, Wandi's part settled like weeks ago?
Mine is still pending. Founded my wali btw.
The moment I contacted him, I thought it will be very emotional sort like moments.
but surprisingly, it went well and smooth. will meet him next week.
I dont know how im going to react, but Thank you ALLAH, Alhamdulillah.....

On other things,
With only 2 months ++ left from the Wday,
I just realized, I didnt start anything on the Wcard !
Thanks to the bbf group, I found myself being reminded all the time ;)
With great team support from fiance,
we managed to complete the design in 1 week time and
send the design to a card vendor.
Lil dramas here and there, but we made it !
Now all we need to do is wait and hope that
the card will turn out as per our expectation.
I`m most worried on the color combination. -_-'

6th Anniversary

it was yesterday.

We decided to have a homey celebration.
I invited him to break fast with my family at my house.

and that's it.

Since we are in the midst of designing our own Wday card,
he suggested that we go to Oldtown to finalize the design.
We like that place, somehow it gets our creative juice flow easily.

When I was about to embark from the car,
He gave me this, because of the good news.

Why butterfly?

He said that,

now I can fly, higher, to achieve more goals

its time for me to shine.

The charm can also be a pendent ;)

love it to the max.

We went to Sunway Pyramid Ice Skating rink
to complete item no 2 from this list.

I used to roller skating during my childhood.

so I was quite confident with this activity.

my "confident" face.
not knowing, what i`m going to experience next !

so sweet of sayang to help me get ready with the skating shoe ~

If anybody ever tell you ice skating is easy.

He/She might be lying !

It look easy....but heck...you need to be super duper confident

when you enter the ice rink.

you'll feel like you are going to slip. EVERY da*n TIME.

Hate to admit that I was such a coward

I did not even try to let go my hand off the panel along the rink !

my leg was killing me cause the shoe was super tight !

or because i try to walk with it, not skate. like duh ~

we had so much fun.

and at the same time, hating our selves for not being bold enough

to just let go.

We envied those who can skate gracefully !

but not so soon though. I`m still traumatized. hakhak.

Last week,
I decided to 'heret' my girlfriends to Nilai 3 to shop for my wedding stuffs.
Initially, it should be just me and girlfriends.
But, I need to drag Wandi as well.
to keep me focus on things that important, pick and pay.

But,that got me thinking....why don't I 'make' them go to PD as well?
since it was listed in our 10 tings to do!

Before starting with the journey,
we had lunch at my favorite restaurant ;)

Kak dilla and bada were kind enough to pick us up and drove all the way to PD ;)

First Stop : Nilai 3

We only managed to get the Bunga Telur (or Pahar?)

Its not really a bunga la....hehe

nice o not?

After that,
Second stop : PD!
and we went to the blue lagoon ~

I hardly come here although
I come to PD every year for Hari Raya.

We wish we can go swimming,
But time, didnt permit us to do so,
The moment we reached there, its already 5++pm

My first speech

I join this club months ago.
It was made compulsory by the management since I was selected to be in this "one-special-group" in my company.

The club encourages its member to give public speaking.
Looks easy. but hell no.
I took the challenge and started my 1st speech today.

The club members are very welcoming and sporting from day one.
I`m happy to have known these people.
I learned a lot from the experienced ones on how to communicate better.
They are funny too ;)

Yesterday, I received THE LETTER from the management.
Indicating that I have successfully passed the needed assessments
and will work at the upper band effective August 11.

I accept the fact that I`m very lucky to be at the right place, at the right time.
But I also know that I deserved it.
Because,
I only got the opportunity , not the end result.

I`m planning to celebrate the good news with 'the people' around me.
without whom, I might not accomplished anything.

We celebrated our 100th Day at Duduk Cafe.
I`m a coupon addicted. I couldnt resist good deals !
It's a nice place to hang out.
but kind of hard to find it if you are new to solaris dutamas.
we followed our guts and coincidentally we were heading to the right directions ~
I dont think Wandi and I will be a good team in the Amazing Race.
I`m not patient and I dont know how to read a map.

Now, I realized that wedding preps is very good
to train myself surviving basic marriage-hood.
The communications with him to get things done,
The sacrifices e.g financial, time that both of us need to make,
The commitments, towards each other,
The compromises to make sure, not just us but everyone is happy with our choices,
I believe all b2b are experiencing the same thing :)
It's not easy right? but I love the challenges.

Wedding to me is a very sacred and should be a joyous ceremony.
It is after all were meant to celebrate myself and the future husband.
Logically, it shouldn't be that stressful, right?

Well it is, when you are facing with too many 'roa.dblocks'
Financial, Resources, Ideas, just to name a few.
Sometimes, I do feel that world is not fair to me.
no need to tell me that I`m a drama queen.
But one thing, I always tend forget.
I am IN CONTROL of all that.

Just that, I need to realize,
I can not have everything in this world.
Though its true, wedding is going to be only once in a lifetime, InsyaALLAH.
but still, it doesn't justify the needs for me to go to that extend to make up for that one day.

The purpose of this post is none other than to remind my own self,

I'm in a dire need to rescue my "makcik-look" hair
So I bought a coupon from The Met through Mydeal

I received quite a number of deals regarding hair services through email subscriptions of course,
but somehow,only The Met looks convincing enough.
I dont mind if its just hair treatments, wash or blow services
but if its involved cutting your precious hair...
you better let it be in the professional hand.

Setting the appointment on public holiday (Wesak Day) was easy breazy ~

The salon is strategically located at Park Royal hotel.
Apposite Sg. Wang.

Upon entering the salon, I was greeted nicely,

They asked me to fill up a form, gave me a discount voucher and the stylist's name card.

Well, Im not used to fancy salons.
Heck, I think my last visit to salon was 2 years ago?
So, when I'm being treated politely with a nice hot coffee and friendly staffs
Im totally SOLD.

To be honest, at first,
I dont quite comprehend the relation of my "after" hair
and the picture that I showed earlier.

My stylist blow my hair using diffuser (i guess la)....
and the result is messy hair.
He asked several times, if the result is ok or not...
I know he is willing to do whatever I want....

But after a while, I`m quite amazed with the texture of my hair.
I wonder...with little snipping, he managed to give that much layers to my hair.

We decided to do item no.10 first ;)

Last Sunday, Wandi and I went to Wetland Park Putrajaya and reached there at 8.45am !
Before that, we stuffed ourselves with what I like to call, hearty breakfast. HAHA

Note to us, do not have heavy breakfast prior to any sport activity.

I know its common sense, but we are so overjoyed by the idea,

that we had the early fiesta -_-

I had so much fun.

The wetland is a very nice place for recreational activity
but I wonder why there were so many off-limit areas for the public?
maybe they are still in the midst of renovation....

I was shivering and sweating...after only 1 lap !
and I notice his concerned face.
I`m totally out of breath all the time !
It must be the food ~ I felt like throwing up.
easy. just blame the food. hehe

the scenery gives me instant serenity and calmness.

I've been meaning to do a lil DIY here and there for my wedding
so that, it will have some of my personal touch ;)
At first,
I wanted to do my own wedding cards,
to sew the beads on my wedding dress,
to make my dream dais
and heck I wanted to do my own hantaran arrangements !

but, somebody (my fiance) ask me...

One thing that I really wanted to do,

Well, I tried it yesterday,
and able to make these two flowers, made from stoking.

I bought mine from kedai bunga reben, jln tar.

Kuantan

Last-last week ;)
I went to Kuantan for working purposes.


With my Partner-in-Crime

But, I brought my mom along since she wanted to visit my bro
who is studying in UMP.

Throughout my working days, I stayed at Swiss Garden Hotel, Kuantan

The air-cond sucks all time !

facing the hotel, there is a beautiful beach.

On the weekends, we opted to stay somewhere near the town.

and wallet friendly ;)

So we opted for Season's View hotel.

Situated just behind the Kuantan Parade.

What I hate about this hotel so much :

1) the check in time : later than 2.30pm

I was furious when they told me my room was not ready at 2.20pm. I told them, I wanted to cancel my reservation and what not, they asked me to wait for another 2 minutes. and bam. my room was magically ready by that time. How can I'm not mad when in their website, the check in time is 1300 !

2) the housekeeping

when i came back from jalan2 with my family at about 3pm, our room was not tidy up yet. i called the housekeeping and she rudely said, their housekeeping start at 2pm. wth?

I gave up at that point and they cleaned our room at 5pm.

3) the drilling sound

just imagine, when you are about to lay down and relax , u heard annoying drilling sounds.

luckily it was at 4pm. or else.....I check out straight away.

4) The parking

The parking space that they have for visitors are very lousy. Its not even tar yet.

So I decided to just parked my car in front of the hotel, at the MKN parking space. Of course I didnt display the parking coupon. Hence I got the "surat cinta" from them.

But I've been warned by the hotel receptionist though, only after I asked her.

If you dont mind the above, I believe you will enjoy your stay here.

maybe i just have bad luck with them.

The hotel is quite new, the bed is so comfy, aircond is just nice and the toilet is very clean.

With the price you pay, it will be totally worth it.

Please book your stay in advance cos they are always fully booked.

I will visit this hotel again, to see if they have improve.

Among the activities that we did in Kuantan was going to

Teluk Chempedak and had the famous Satay Zul ~

Hate to admit it but its partially true.
In my defense,

One thing he always forget. atau dia buat2 lupa. haha
I fell in love with him first.
Way before he realized, I'm the one.
Through that gap, I was fighting for his love.
I struggled . I was in fear of rejection.
But I carried on. Ready to face whatever it might be.

Now? Syukur Alhamdulillah.
It turn to be better than what I've imagined.
It feels like he's the one
and he never fails to remind me, he loves me still. Everyday.

Its not easy to build a solid fundamental of relationship.
Till now, we dont think we are that strong either.
But what will make it easier?
Accept the person he/she is, Compromising.
As cliche as it might sound, It works wonder!

Now, I left with 6 months preparing for the W-day.
and at the same time,
Lots of other thing that needed my attention right now
i.e career path, job. Syukur Alhamdulillah.

I tend to update more on the wedding preparations on this blog
because, I dont think my job posts will keep you coming back for more~
and I`m (dead) sure,you had enough of my dating/lovey-dovey story with my dear fiance.
Everybody knows by now, how madly in love I am with wandi ;) YES. I hear you ;)

Well, by this week,
We (I started with 'I', then only I realized, he was on board all the time!) determined to find:
1) the caterer for my reception
2) the tailor for my solemnization+groom's reception
Plus to confirm on the color palette for the 2 events !

On May,
I need to finalize on the hall decoration and reception dress.

Although at times, I feel its too soon to make a decision.
But, when I'm contemplating,
I always found myself more fond on the first choice.
Its just a waste of time, deciding and analyzing when we already know what we wanted!

So I decided to proceed with what I feel right,confident about,
and not to follow the mainstream, sometimes.
because, most of the time, I cant afford "the mainstreams"

I'm scouting for new talents that can give me what I wanted at the fraction of price.
But of course, you need to win some (the bargain), and lose some (the quality).

I'll choose whatever that will not hurt our pocket ~

On the Venue

Initially we wanted to have it in Masjid Wilayah,one day earlier from our Reception.
They have the Dewan Akad Nikah which will be perfect for our sacred occasion.

Bad news is,
Masjid Wilayah will undergo a major renovation from July until unknown.
Im not a risk taker. Though there is a possibility that the Dewan can be ready by Oct
I still dont like to answer MYSELF of the What If scenarios.

Yes we do consider other options , like other mosques?
The thing is, I couldnt find other mosque with Dewan Nikah in KL.
What if Im having my period on the said date, or our guest?
I will not be able to witness the akad nikah myself.
;(

Home?
I dont live in a fancy home. Thats not the big problem.
The thing is, its only about 630sqft.
Last-est resort I guess.

So we decided to do it on the foyer of our Reception hall, on the very same day~
Its located at the first floor. No carpet or what so ever.

To worry about this and that is my best talent i guess ;)
I started questioning on the hall deco, the temperature, the flow of the occasion
will I have enough stamina?
since after that we need to quickly change for our reception dress, makeup and whatnot.

But my biggest question,
Can we pull it off in a timely manner?

Tragedy (sort of)

I’ve finished the first day of “Kursus Pra Perkahwinan” at Zura’s Akademik.
Its very informative!

After we finished the course, my car broke down. AGAIN
This time, it needed to be towed since the car cannot be ignited.
Something wrong with the battery/car alternator/wiring.
My car just couldn’t wait to behave badly considering that
We’ve been reminded to come as early as 7 am tomorrow.

AND
This is not the first time ! -_-

AND
To worsen the worst situation,
After I learned the process to get married,
I need to have wali and all, and I dont even know where my wali is right now.

AND
I am short of money to cover the cost of towing and repairing.

One problem keeps on adding to another.
My mind just stop thinking and processing.

It come to a point when I started questioning,
why I'm born in this family?
in this chaos-ness?
WHY?

Astaghfirullah Al - Azim.

Im a normal person.
maybe an over-reacting normal person.
but, what I learn today, I need to be thankful.

At least my car broke down at a strategic place where we can park, took a bus and go home.
At least I have a caring mother and family.
My bro will do all the towing since I need to complete the course tomorrow.
At least I have a secured job to cover all the cost.

And I know Allah is “adil” when he tested me with all this,
but keep a strong man beside me to help me get through.

Syukur Alhamdulillah and thanks wandi for being my-wandi.

What a drama for today. Lets just hope tomorrow will be a better day ;)

I can watch the same episode for like 5 times !

Firstly because I like kids very much and secondly I like watching people cooking !
Apart from all the masterchef, Top Chef series, i also like to watch 'Fresh with Anna Olsen'

To Watch and To do are 2 different things.
I just think that I need to defend myself here.
hehe

They look so cute and yet can cook superbly for their age.
Not only they showed a very fine cooking technique
but the way they present it.....wallah ~

we are talking about kids age 8-12 years ok.

My fav contestant are Isabella,Sofia,Sienna
and of course Cassidy. Who can resist that cute smile ~!

I noticed the comments were very positive and mild.
If they want to give feedback, they'll sugar coated it
which in my opinion, is very good.
they are still young, they might not be able to handle criticism well.
Its important to encourage them to pursue their dreams.
They got heck of time to improve ~

I googl-ed and I knew who won the competition.
;)

I like to watch the show cos I'll feel that I SHOULD cook like them.

One thing I know about my dear fiance,
He is not fussy about the taste but likes presentable foods.
I should really take note on Jack's food decoration ~!

I`m still contemplating on these :

Already found the one, moderate pricing but she charged RM 200 for trial makeup.
Should I proceed without the trial? or the trial price IS the market price?

-P.A system
Already found the one, cheapest. but I heard bad reviews about them.

-Venue for Solemnization
We wanted Masjid Wilayah but have yet to proceed with the booking and etc

-Doorgifts for VIP and Guest.
I wanted to give the Noodle take out box for guest and the Gable Box for the VVIP.
But I dont know yet what to fill inside. For kids, already confirm what to give them ;)

I really wanted this vendor but not sure if I can afford them :
-Caterer
Received good reviews and recommendations from friends. Nice deco on the buffet table but a lil bit sloppy on the guest tables. But I still want them if the price fit our budget.
Waiting for the quo .Its been 2 weeks now.

Waiting for the final sketches to best fit my type of body.
But more importantly whether it fit my scrutinized budget. haha.

Money gloomy

Well,
Since I've discovered,
our budget for the wedding day is short by 10k,
and
I've just paid 1.125k to repair my car,
plus my other hutangs that dont need to be mentioned here ;)

I just dont have any mood to update this blog or surveying for the W day.

Ok. Im kidding.
I couldn't stop drooling over other people's wedding
and asking quotations from several vendors.

I just thought, everything happened for a reason.
I`m quite lucky to have detected whats wrong with my car before it affecting me.
My life worth more than 1.125k. That's for sure.

I read somewhere, about this interesting quote;

nothing really happen today
but we are truly happy looking at the numbers.
and celebrated it at Wong Solo. My fav restaurant ~

Some people and even my friends look at us
and see how perfect we are for each other,
lil did they know, what we've endured for the past few years.
We fought a lot to reach to an agreement.
I struggled with his attitude which is totally the opposite of mine.

No one knew how much I tried to convince him that, I am the one.
How many time I failed, and I tried again until he opened his heart for me.

But, syukur alhamdulillah.

Now we are more stable, emotionally.

I come to a state where, whenever he did something not according to my liking,

I couldn't care less.

No point shouting when I`m positive he`ll do that again.

;)

and I realized, I have my own bad attitudes, and flaws that are close to infinity

and he never complaint about that.

although it takes me years to figure this out.

at last, I understand the concept of compromise.

usually its all about me being better than anything else. haha

People say, don't look back and dwell on the past.

But I`ll say. Look back, and you`ll understand.

Life need not be a smooth sailing journey.

Especially LOVE life.

On the very special day
I decided to do something that I`ll never do to other human being,
I baked his birthday cake ;)

but my mum said,
"hell no. its his bday for GOD sake!". siap dgn tangan2 sekali. Ok..tipu jer...over tau. haha

My mum insisted to invite him to our house.
Early in the morning,
She cooked mee goreng, prepared kopi kapal api, his fav coffee.
asking me repeatedly, where is Wandi?
I`m confused, she never did any of that on MY birthday.

while they were like talking and laughing about ME....infront of ME,
about how lazy I am when it comes to cooking or wake up early,
or why I didnt like asam pedas!
I decided that its about time to take out the cake.
before wandi decided not to marry me. thanks so much mama -_-

Just because, he said these words " for me, please...its my birthday"

Surprisingly, the weather was very co-operative.
We had fun, doing thing that we enjoyed the most, swimming !

The other day I was depressed about the reception hall.

But, finally we've found "the one", paid the booking fee.

Syukur Alhamdulillah.

I`m not fussy, I think I`m in no position to be fussy

since I have too many limitations.

So, we have limited choices hence the decision making is very simple.

Try to be positive here ;)

Now, I`m depressed about the dais and the reception dress !

Grrrr...NOT GOOD.

The thing is, I over analyzed every single thing.

You know how stressful it is?

I think only Wandi knows. and su, nuril, kak m and mr.h. haha

He's always there.

Tell me its time to put some senses on my mind.

Come to think about it.

I just need to chill.

Things happen for a reason. ALWAYS.

Whatever happened on that one day,

will not dictates how our life is going to be afterwards.

Oh, one more thing.

Yesterday, he told me.

He loves every single details on our E-day.

He thanks me for my wonderful ideas

and consistently telling me that we are going to be great together.

and yes.

I keep on complaining about this guy when its obvious, he is almost perfect for me.

I dont always like to be depressed cos I always find ways to look things at a bright side.

but some other time, I`m out of reasoning.

Phew. Last week,

I had 4d3n holiday at the soon to be Family in Law house
Yes. It was just like a holiday.

Syukur Alhamdulillah,
they are super cool, accepting me just the way I am.
I felt comfortable and the best-est thing is :
I can just be myself ;)
I think my MIL knows that kitchen is not my fav spot at my home.
cos, when she was peeling the "Petola" I asked her...is that "Timun Jepun?"

haha.

Wandi totally ignored me when hes at home.
I need to like "pandai2" do whats necessary, ask things.
he wanted me to blend in naturally.
I can never not do anything, anywhere especially when Im nervous.
He knows that !
But actually, I glad he did.

I had so many wonderful moments with his family.
and I really hope the feeling is mutual
haha !

On a different note,

We had the opportunity to spend some time at Johor Bahru.
reminiscing good old days.
and during that time, we are able to catch 1 movie.
and we choose NGANG.KUNG.
unlike our usual preference but why not?

hell yes. we love it.

I shouldnt be telling this to you guys,
but Wandi was screaming inside the cinema.
The film was kind of scary-comedy
though I have to admit there were some part of the movie
that was just toooooooooo scary.....for him ;)
I ended up screaming as well because i was startled by his actions.

We laugh a lot while I discovered,
Bad idea to watch scary movies with him !
as we will need to hide our faces while going out from the cinema.

Had lunch at Robin's Portuguese Chicken .
For their heavenly chicken and egg tarts.
ughhh. I miss that the most. haha

All in all, it was a great trip.
at first, I was nervous till I canceled the trip like 2 times?
but the moment I keep an open mind
everything came on easy.

So there goes 7 dulang hantaran from me.
I miss the journey of planning and deciding what to give to him.

But, if I knew, his sister was all out doing the hantaran,
I should like at least, asked my aunt to doubled up our hantaran standard. haha.
this time, I need to blame wandi. I had consistently remind him to
KISS keep it simple sayang.

WOW.
at least to me.

the theme of the hantaran is teddy bear love.
because we are as "Cute" as teddy bears.

So I think I`ll repeat the same process for my W-day next year?

My caterer : Tok Li Nasi Padang

We dealt through email and it was a smooth sailing journey.
I listed the menu of choice and the address and they responded back to me in a jiffy.

Below was the quoted menu and price.

To be honest, I cant comment much on the food

as I didn't have the opportunity to eat since I was busy entertaining guests.
But, I received lots of good comments from my relatives on the food.
Just that the ayam masak merah was a lil too spicy for children.

But on the services and cleanliness, and time management,
Phew...I give them 4.5/5 stars.
Excellent ~!

They didn't asked for deposit,
and they only received payment after the event ended.
They truly trust their customer !

Kudos to wandi for working his ass off
to find the caterer.
lots of drama happened but in the end,
we managed to pull it off.

On the doorgift

I always knew from the start
That I wanted to give Pulut Kuning and Rendang as my doorgift.

Sadly, I didn't have the pictures of my doorgift ;(

my mum cooked the rendang
and my uncle cooked the pulut kuning ~
So you know how personal it is to me.

To the person who always told me...
"you are my favorite person, you know?"
and ended every SMS with "Muah" ,

Which I tend to take it for granted.
I never replied to that cos I never had the time to truly understand what it means
Most of the time, I thought, he is just being romantic !

Fav person? Really?
That was like the highest compliment that I've got from a human.

How can I respond to that?

Sometimes, we dont need to respond but to change the way we think.
Cos
Sometimes, when we are so in love,
we forgot what "I love you" means.

words that coming right through the heart seem meaningless
cos we simply dont have time to stop for a while and take a deeper meaning
on those simple words.

well, that's happened to me but luckily
I took time to flash back the sweet memories that we had together
and it make me saying "syukur alhamdulillah" non stop.

Dear sayang,
If I am your favorite person, you are definately my amazing person.

He never fails to wow me.
I learn a lot from this guy.
We learn a lot from each other.

Lets take a while,
to realized how lucky we are to have THAT person,
family and friends who are always there
for us ;)

Honestly, I do feel the colorful hand bouquet didn't compliment my black and white dress well. But I can never help myself to put a lil hint of bright happy colors in everything I do.

The Makeup

My MUA

I knew her through blog-hopping when I`m all about makeup n stuffs.
I have a separate blog about makeup. mind you. used to la...hehe
Adore her FOTD and blending techniques!

Ok la, I admit.
I hire her, because I knew, she used branded makeup.
From Urban Decay to Channel to MAC to Kryolan and etc.
I just realized, I'm that shallow~haha

Ampun kan mak wahai anne gorjes. hehe

I did a trial makeup during the white studio photoshoot
and it was love at the first sight ;)

Can't you see that I`m loving it ?

since then.
No turning back.
She is the one ;)

This is

I have no regrets.

What I like the most is,
how the makeup look on the pictures.

Its not about the perfection or looking like a barbie,
I still look like me, but better !

My humble tips :

1) Choose only one feature and highlight it, others tone it down. If you want dramatic eyes, use natural colors on blusher and lipstick, or vice versa.
2) spend some money to do trial makeup with your MUA,
just so you can get the feeling of what your makeup gonna looked like on The Day.

The Baju

Remember my constant nervousness about my dress for the E-day?

Well, this is it ~

Surprisingly, it turn out good, to me at least !
I adore the veil~

The tailor, Kak Zura from Maya Mega is a very nice lady with full of ideas.
I wanted a simple baju kurung pahang,
but she insisted to do a baju kurung moden for me
the idea terrifies me the first time, but I gave in to the new option !
Luckily it has become THE dress and Im very comfortable with the cutting.

She had made my life easier.
Just imagine, I met her 3 times only.
First for the discussion, second for the fitting, 3rd for the final fitting.
I made a survey for the materials at Jakel before I find a tailor, It cost me almost RM800 for a 4m white chiffon+satin. That did not include lace~ ~maybe I was in the wrong floor..hehe~

Since Im such a noob in this kind of things,
I let kak zura in charge of it.
She voluntarily bought all the materials for my dress.
she managed to get a 5m white chiffon+5m white satin for a mere RM105 !
just incase i need to justify, 5m sbb aku nak kain cm duyung, flowy2 gitu ;)
and i love the material !
it did not crumpled easily and very easy to manage !

Onto the lace,
She bought a non-beaded lace.
Then she suggested the color and shape of the beads to be sewn on the lace.
and it turns out to be glamorous ~

Bad news is,
at the back of the dress, it looked like this

sort of malfunction ;(

it seems the lace,was not enough for my entire dress.
I requested for no beads at the back though (save budget ;) )

I freaked out ok,
but I dont have enough time to ask kak zura to adjust it..
my dress was ready 3 days before the event.
plus, it wasn't that obvious so, I just deal with it.
See. U dont want to do everything last minute like me !

All in all,
I am truly satisfied with my dress.
With the price I'm paying with what I get
plus the convenience,
plus the comments i get from FB about the dress ;)
I think it all worth it~

Let me give you some of my personal tips that I hope can be useful to you and myself ;)

1. Make sure you have your dream dress in mind.
by that, it mean you already know

THE color
THE dress material e.g chiffon, songket.
THE concept of your dress e.g detailing at neck, hand
THE budget e.g not more than RMxxx.

2. Make sure, you are firm with your decisions.
Lets not make the tailor's life miserable.

3. Book your tailor at least 3 months before the event.
Update with her every month, final month - weekly.

4. Dont set high expectation.
Especially when you are low in budget. hehe

5. Give and take ideas.
Sometimes, you just need to trust her taste and judgment.

6. Don't buy materials that is too expensive because some tailor, they charged customer on the type of materials. True enough, expensive material is sometimes kinda hard to sew.

7. If you are into lace, bring your tailor along when you are buying one.
Lets just say they are more knowledgeable, and maybe can suggest an alternative minus the hefty price tag.

8. Make sure your dress can be ready at least 1 week before the event.
This will help you a lot to do final justifications and determine the accessories and shoes that can go with it.

9. Go for the simple design. (for E-day)
so you got your dream dress and look good on it,
it will be more cost effective if you can wear it over and over again. No?

I understand, for the plussizes out there,
we want to look good on the very special day.
and phew, we do not have many options out there !

My E-day

Syukur Alhamdulillah,

All went well.
Although I have mentioned before there were lots of crazy incidents
e.g my car broke down, twice !
plus my "meltdown moment", just one minute before my MUA arrived.
but its ok~ its really make my E-day, meaningful ;)

I always wanted a simple ceremony to commemorate our Love Day
and I guess, my wish was granted.
I had enough time, to entertain my guest,
talk with them, take pictures together.
Make sure everybody got their food, drinks.

Through my eyes, everything was sweet and simple.
Not perfect, but lovely.

Here, I would like to share with you my E-day pictures,

I received lots of sweet thoughts and comments, congratulating me in FB.

To tell you the truth,
as of now,
I still feel the same but with a lil teeny weeny bit of special ;)
we hardly used the word "tunang"
since we are very much comfortable with
"bby-sayang"...JGN GELAK !
But who knows what the future hold for us?
There will be more challenges but
we are praying hard for this relationship to reach another step.
The BIG step ;)

we did enjoyed special price and special treatment

but,
they do charge a very reasonable price for 1 hour photoshoot in white studio.
If only i can shoot my convocation day in a white room...it must be amazing !

lesson learn, these are my humble tips if you consider to do white room photoshoot :
1) wear colorful clothes
2) Bring more than 1 clothes
3) Do some research about your poses...you are charged hourly.
4) Bring your own props and co-ordinate your next move ;)
5) wear shoes
6) pay attention to every detail e.g hair cos, white....don't lie !

THE journey !

finally, got his ticket number
and we will be called for another 2-3 hours

Our stomach started grumbling..

had our 'brunch' at Zenmai.
just because,
at 11.30am there was no queue for this restaurant yet !

He's loving it !

We waited nervously,
then got a msg.

Alhamdulillah he got it after 3 years longing for it.
and I`m glad to be part of a happy journey of his.

What a week !

I was forced to take a leave for the whole week after raya.
I shouldn't be complaining but, I`m so freaking bored !
Mostly because, Wandi is not here.
He's still at his hometown ~

I tried to make a preparation for The day..
but its kinda hard...since hes not here.
I need his approval and comment ;)
Wanted to discuss things on the phone
but phew...his schedule was kinda packed with his relatives open houses.
I just dont want to disturb him.

back to me...hehe

I couldn't believe it myself
but due to the boredom, I managed to drag myself to the gym 3 times this week !
and today I burned 1000 calories,
why?
because I gained 1kg, after 1 week of raya ?
no no no...but, but the 1kg thingy is still true though..haha
because I watched the repeated Final of Bigg.est Loser A.sia 1 !

It was a motivation to me, at least for today. haha

looking forward for tomorrow.
